This is the eighth release in one of the very oldest and most respected series of RPG's. As might be expected, Wizardry 8 is set in the familiar universe of the series and picks up the story soon after the somewhat ambiguous close of Wizardry VII: Crusaders of the Dark Savant. This eighth episode is the first to be presented with fully-rendered 3D characters and environments. Other additions include a new 3D-based combat system, as well as new skills, classes, and spells. Wizardry 8 is designed to be immediately playable for newcomers to the series while also remaining deep and challenging to veterans. Characters can be created from scratch, customized from pre-generated models included in the release, or imported from Wizardry VII: Crusaders of the Dark Savant or Wizardry Gold.
